.......Our life with mastiffs began in 1995. We purchased our first mastiff, Addie from a breeder in California. It was love at first sight when we picked her up from the airport. Our daughter was almost a year old at that time. She and the puppy grew up together and became good friends. Although we had never been to a dog show, we decided it would be a fun family activity. We traveled the state going to shows and soon finished Addie. At that point we were definitely hooked.
.......We joined the Mastiff Club of America (MCOA) and made it a point to attend the MCOA specialty each year, as well as joining our local kennel club. In 2003, Courtney fulfilled another mastiff dream by founding the Lone Star Mastiff Fanciers (LSMF) to promote the breed in our state. Being actively involved in all these organizations requires a lot of time, however she still manages to spend quality time with dogs and family.

.......Our entire experience with the mastiff breed has enriched our lives. It is hard to conceive what our life would be like without these gentle giants. Mastiffs have enabled us to travel around the country for shows and meet many wonderful people that also share our love for these dogs.
